Description
The Matting and Framing Specialist manages the matting and framing shop at the Skills Development Center, Air Force Academy, Colorado. Responsibilities include preparing custom and archival framing orders, cutting glass, selling supplies, teaching framing techniques, assisting patrons, ordering and inventorying supplies, handling cash, maintaining records, and keeping the facility safe and orderly. The role requires progressively responsible matting and framing experience, glass-cutting ability, inventory and communication skills, physical lifting up to 50 pounds, an uncommon tour of duty, a Tier 1 background investigation, and a favorable pre-employment physical.
