Microsoft is hiring a Security Engineer for its Red Team organization to discover and exploit vulnerabilities across application, cloud, network, hardware, physical, and operational security domains. The role executes adversarial Red Team operations, analyzes source code and data sources, uses artificial intelligence and agentic approaches, collaborates with developers and Blue Teams, and presents security risks. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required; preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, additional relevant experience, and vulnerability or cybersecurity experience. The role requires Microsoft Cloud and export-control background checks and citizenship verification, and offers a U.S. base pay range of USD 85,400 to USD 168,100 per year, with higher ranges in the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area.
