Description
Moffatt & Nichol is hiring a Senior Architect to lead large-scale federal and military facility projects, including shipyard infrastructure, administrative buildings, maintenance shops, training facilities, secure installations, utilities, and support infrastructure. The role manages project lifecycles, design proposals, cross-functional teams, compliance, financials, risk mitigation, client development, and junior-staff mentoring. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in architecture, a registered architecture license, and at least 15 years of facility design and construction experience, including 5 years in military or federal projects. The position is based in Norfolk, Virginia, or Raleigh, North Carolina, with Raleigh-based employees required to travel to Norfolk approximately once per month. The base salary is $160,000–$185,000 for candidates working in the Virginia market, with medical, dental, vision, HSA, retirement, paid time off, and other benefits.
