Description
Intuitive is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its New Product Development team for the Ion robotic endoluminal platform. The role leads multidisciplinary technical teams, translates clinical and user needs into design requirements, develops and iterates full-scale prototypes, designs and documents mechanical components and assemblies, supports manufacturing fixtures and assembly processes, troubleshoots production issues, and contributes to quality and regulatory processes. The position requires mechanical design, analysis, failure analysis, CAD, volume-manufacturing, and product-development experience, along with a BS in mechanical engineering or similar with 6 years of experience, or a master’s degree plus 4 years, or a PhD plus 1 year. Up to 10% travel is required.
