Alexion is hiring an Advanced Robotics & Data Orchestration Software Engineer to build reusable, production-grade software that coordinates instruments and robots into automated workflows. The role covers run-control logic, state models, exception handling, recovery and rollback, instrument and robot integration, data contracts, CI/CD, observability, release management, documentation, and support for commissioning and operator enablement. Candidates need a PhD, MS, or BS in a relevant field with substantial experience in computer science, engineering, or a related field, including at least four years building software for laboratory or industrial automation or robotics with orchestration or controls integration. The role requires periodic work in a laboratory or manufacturing environment and an average of at least four days per week in the office.
