Description

DC Water is hiring a Senior Program Manager, CIP Project Delivery, in a hybrid exempt role within Engineering. The position oversees multiple architectural/engineering, construction, and collaborative delivery contracts; serves as a COTR and/or lifecycle project manager; manages project controls, budgets, schedules, quality, contract deliverables, modifications, claims support, consultants, technical direction, and construction closeout. Candidates need at least 7 years of progressive engineering experience in contract administration and capital improvement project planning, design, and construction, a bachelor's degree in an ABET-accredited engineering discipline, and a District of Columbia Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain one through reciprocity within six months.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, or related engineering from an ABET-accredited or equivalent program.
Required Previous Experiences: At least 7 years of progressive engineering experience involving contract management and administration, capital improvement planning, design and construction, and management of budgets, schedules, and resources.
Preferred Qualifications: 10 years of engineering experience involving water systems, water project contract/construction management, or a closely related field.
Master’s degree in civil, mechanical, structural, electrical, or related engineering.
PMI Project Management Professional certification.
DBIA or Associate DBIA certification.
Knowledge of water systems regulatory developments, emerging technology, and current design trends.
Financial acumen and cross-functional collaboration.
