Description

Gatik is hiring a Senior/Staff Software Engineer for its Localization team to build real-time sensor fusion and localization solutions for autonomous vehicles. The role involves developing odometry, GPS-IMU fusion, SLAM, pose estimation, filtering, and calibration algorithms; integrating them with perception, mapping, and control systems; and validating performance in simulation and real-world environments. It is an onsite five-day-per-week position in Santa Clara, California, with a salary range of $180,000 to $250,000.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: M.S. or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Required Previous Experiences: 6+ years of industry experience writing C++ software in a production environment
2+ years of experience in the autonomous vehicle or advanced driver-assistance systems industry
Experience developing localization algorithms for autonomous vehicles or robotic systems
Experience with pose estimation, SLAM, probabilistic filtering, Kalman filtering, and non-linear optimization
Experience processing large-scale and real-world data sets
Experience implementing mathematical principles in software
Experience with sensor fusion and sensor calibration techniques
Experience with performance optimization and real-time system requirements
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with MATLAB and Simulink
Proficiency in linear algebra, probability, and optimization techniques
