Google is hiring an XR Developer to build libraries and tools for the Android XR ecosystem, enabling spatially-aware and Gemini-connected experiences using AI technologies. The role involves writing and testing code, reviewing engineering work, contributing to documentation, triaging and debugging issues, and participating in technology design reviews. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, five years of Java, Kotlin, or C++ programming experience, three years of software product testing, maintenance, or launch experience, one year of software design and architecture experience, and three years of Android application development experience. Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees, data structures and algorithms experience, performance and large-scale systems experience, technical leadership experience, and accessible technology development experience. The position offers $174,000–$252,000 USD plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
