Description
The role evaluates subsurface field and sampling data, including soil and groundwater, and develops conclusions about environmental and geologic site conditions. Responsibilities include generating subsurface maps and cross-sections, overseeing field monitoring and testing, interpreting soil, bedrock, groundwater elevation and quality data, preparing site investigation and remediation reports, and directing field staff. The position also develops client proposals, reviews quality control, participates in client communications, and may lead lower-level geologists or hydrogeologists. It requires a bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, or a related field, at least five years of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and certification in the field of expertise; a master’s degree is preferred.
