New Hanover County is hiring Social Workers for its Permanency Planning unit to determine reunification, relative placement, or adoption plans; partner with parents, relatives, kinship and foster families; develop case plans; arrange services; testify in court; document cases; prepare reports; and use agency software. The role is primarily field-based in homes, courts, and the community, with partial telework available, and requires an MSW or qualifying BSW, human-services education, and related social work experience. The target hiring range is $59,168–$79,877, with a full incumbent range of $59,168–$100,586, and trainee applicants may be paid at least $56,351.
