AWS is hiring a Software Engineer for its Global Accelerator Data Plane team to design, develop, test, and maintain the packet-processing software that routes and load-balances traffic across AWS edge locations. The role focuses on distributed systems, computer networking, deep packet analysis, availability, performance, and customer-facing features, while also mentoring team members and participating in code reviews. Candidates need at least three years of professional software development experience, two years of design or architecture experience, and experience with at least one programming language; systems-level C/C++ programming, DPDK, and NGINX knowledge are preferred. The position is based in Seattle, Washington, with a base salary of 143,700 to 194,400 USD annually.
