AWS is hiring a Software Development Engineer II for its EKS Runtime Release team to design, build, and operate the node-level runtime infrastructure for Amazon EKS. The role covers optimized AMI development, GPU and accelerator support, container runtime and kubelet configuration, node monitoring, automated security patching, AI/ML workload enablement, and operational on-call support. It requires at least three years of professional software development experience, two years of design or architecture experience, a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and experience with a modern programming language. The position is based in Seattle, Washington, with a base salary of 143,700 to 194,400 USD annually.
