Sequence is hiring an engineer to build and operate production backend systems for its AI-powered revenue platform. The role focuses on flexible approval workflows, an intelligent collections agent, and scaling billing infrastructure, including event-stream processing, storage, horizontal scalability, reliability, and cost-performance tradeoffs. The engineer will work with Kotlin, Postgres, BigQuery, Google Cloud Pub/Sub, Terraform, TypeScript, React, and related tools, with a preference for distributed systems and relational-database expertise.
