Checkout.com is hiring a Software Engineer to lead and drive projects across its payments technology portfolio. The role involves designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing scalable software systems, including loosely coupled microservices; collaborating with product and engineering teams; mentoring junior members; and owning system resilience. The position requires a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, Java proficiency, agile experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and interest in AI. The role follows a hybrid model with three days per week in the office.
