Description
Google is hiring a Software Engineering Manager for its Privacy, Safety, and Security (PSS) Core team. The role leads engineers and technical leads across multiple teams and locations, manages a large product budget, oversees international large-scale project deployments, and drives multi-quarter strategy. Responsibilities include designing systems, writing and reviewing code, improving multi-agent pipelines and evaluation infrastructure, and coaching technical leaders. The position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of software development experience, 3 years of technical leadership experience, 2 years of people management experience, and experience with developer platforms, automated code-fixing or CI/CD pipelines, and distributed backend services. Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees, complex matrixed-organization experience, LLM and multi-agent application experience, and privacy or software-security expertise. Compensation is $207,000–$300,000 USD plus a 20% bonus target, equity, and benefits.
