Description
The Home Depot is hiring a Software Engineer Sr. Principal in Reliability Engineering to lead the stability, resilience, and reliability of its store systems, payments, and COM platform. The role guides software design and development across 4–6 engineering teams, architects reusable foundational code, develops proof-of-concepts, optimizes cloud costs, supports outages and technology disputes, mentors direct reports, and influences technology roadmaps. It requires at least seven years of relevant experience, expertise in at least two technologies used by The Home Depot IT, Agile/Lean development experience, and a bachelor's degree or equivalent; preferred qualifications include 7–9 years of experience, programming-language expertise, and leadership experience. The position typically requires 5%–20% overnight travel and offers a pay range of $170,000–$280,000.
