Blue Origin is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to architect, design, validate, and manage mechanical packaging for flight and mission-critical avionics Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) in its TeraWave spacecraft bus. The role covers enclosure architecture, 3D CAD, interfaces, BOMs, prototypes, test fixtures, environmental testing, and product lifecycle revisions, with responsibilities spanning concept through qualification, production, and flight support. Candidates need a mechanical or aerospace engineering degree, at least seven years of recent experience designing ruggedized electronic enclosures or similar high-performance hardware, and proficiency with structural, thermal, vibration, CAD, GD&T, and failure analysis. The role offers base pay of $133,500 to $203,263.20 depending on the applicant location, plus medical, dental, vision, retirement, leave, and other benefits.
