Description
GM is hiring a Staff Software Engineer, Compute Systems Software to lead the design, development, integration, debugging, and technical leadership of embedded Linux platforms for in-vehicle compute systems. The role covers Linux kernel and device-driver development, Yocto-based build and release systems, boot and recovery hardening, performance optimization, complex root-cause analysis, automation, vendor collaboration, and cross-team engineering leadership. It is a hybrid position with regular onsite collaboration at a GM technical center and offers a base salary of $220,000 to $300,000 plus bonus potential and health, dental, vision, and other benefits.
