General Motors is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for its Autonomous Vehicle organization’s Validation Foundations and Acceleration team. The role leads and develops complex behavior validation products, including the Behavior Validation Scorecard, while collaborating with Embodied AI, safety, and product teams. Responsibilities include prioritizing improvements through Pareto analysis, defining roadmaps and success metrics, implementing Python-based technical solutions, connecting data pipelines to user interfaces, and ensuring scalable and reliable validation tools. The position requires an advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and at least six years of experience in systems engineering, software product development, or technical program management. Compensation is $189,300 to $290,700, with bonus potential and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits.
