Description
The Substation Planner III at MWResource is responsible for preparing work packages for substation and transmission asset construction and maintenance activities. This includes reviewing equipment performance history, identifying special requirements, optimizing concurrent work, documenting time variance explanations, monitoring progress, and ensuring efficient execution. The planner collaborates with construction teams and project management to plan, estimate, and allocate resources, requiring strong organizational and collaborative skills. They manage annual construction and maintenance work plans aligned with funding changes and prioritize tasks, developing detailed work packages with scopes, timelines, resource allocation, and safety/environmental considerations. The role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, participating in project planning meetings, managing grid clearances, processing documentation, and assisting with emergency planning.
