Samsara is hiring a senior individual contributor to lead the design and implementation of safety-critical computer vision systems for real-time perception on edge devices and in the cloud. The role covers end-to-end pipelines, object detection, tracking, segmentation, multi-camera fusion, multimodal data, transformer-based architectures, edge optimization, and the translation of research into production. It requires a master’s or PhD in a relevant quantitative field, 10+ years of experience leading production AI systems, and expertise in computer vision, sensor fusion, and real-time ML. The position is remote for candidates residing in the United States and offers an annual base salary of $200,200 to $357,500 USD, plus potential RSU grants and other benefits.
