Shield AI is hiring a full-time V-BAT Technical Writer to support the integration and operational lifecycle of next-generation autonomous aircraft systems. The role partners with aerospace, software, and systems engineers to create and maintain service bulletins, operator manuals, maintenance procedures, system descriptions, troubleshooting guides, training materials, and mission documentation. Responsibilities include translating complex avionics, autonomy, and mission-system concepts into clear guidance, managing documentation across development, flight test, and operational phases, maintaining standards and version control, and supporting rapid updates based on engineering and operational feedback. The position requires 3–10 years of technical writing or editing experience, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and experience with aircraft systems or complex hardware/software platforms.
