Description
UNCW’s Department Counseling Center is hiring a temporary Counselor to provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, and other assigned duties. The role requires a master’s or doctoral degree in psychology, social work, or counseling psychology, along with North Carolina licensure as an LCMHC, LCSW, or licensed psychologist/health services provider. Candidates should have strong multicultural competencies and experience providing counseling services to college-aged students; clinical experience, a doctoral degree, and expertise in mood regulation, anxiety management, crisis management, mind-body principles, or developmental issues are preferred. The position offers 20 hours per week, varies between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM on Monday through Friday, and pays $35.00–$50 per hour.
