NC State University is hiring a temporary laboratory assistant in Raleigh, North Carolina to test pectinolytic, cellulolytic, and hemicellulolytic activities in endophytes that affect fermented cucumbers and may enhance bioactive properties of fermented vegetable blends. The role involves classic microbiology, aseptic techniques, and microscopy, requires a combination of training and experience, and is scheduled for 20 hours per week Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to noon, with some weekend work.
