Description
UNCW’s Student Health Center is hiring temporary Medical Laboratory Technicians for multiple positions. The role operates the Student Health Center laboratory by performing waived and moderately complex serology, microbiology, microscopy, and hematology tests; interpreting results; drawing blood; preparing reference-lab specimens; supporting CAP surveys and CLIA inspections; troubleshooting equipment; communicating clinical information; and training staff. The position requires clinical laboratory knowledge, blood collection and processing experience, laboratory equipment skills, and communication ability, with a preferred bachelor’s or associate’s degree in a laboratory science and prior non-waived testing experience. The anticipated hiring range is $25 per hour, with work varying between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday for 10–20 hours per week.
