Description

The Temporary Programming Director provides programmatic, operational, and administrative leadership for Summer School programs and services. The role oversees course and instructor administration, admissions, visiting student services, off-campus programs, Explore@UNC payroll and financial administration, event support, and cross-team projects. It is a hybrid position in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with an anticipated hiring range of $40 per hour.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience
Required Previous Experiences: Professional experience in higher education administration
Experience managing complex administrative processes involving multiple stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications: Previous professional experience at UNC-Chapel Hill
Knowledge of UNC-Chapel Hill policies, procedures, systems, and organizational structures
Experience working with academic departments and central University administrative offices
Experience with student admissions, enrollment, registration, advising, or student services
Experience with faculty appointments, payroll, HR, or academic personnel processes
Experience managing summer, continuing education, visiting student, or non-traditional academic programs
Experience with Formstack, Monday.com, or similar workflow and project-management systems
Experience with University financial, payroll, or budget processes
