Getting Started Without a Résumé

No résumé yet? Start by telling the Metaintro assistant about yourself, get job matches, and build a résumé from scratch in the same chat.

Getting Started

Paste it into Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor or Pi.

Many people start looking for work without a résumé: right after school, military or national service, after a long break, or in a new country. You can use Metaintro from the first minute without one.

Start with a short conversation

The first time you sign in, a chat opens with a Welcome to Metaintro card. Choose Quick chat with Metaintro. The assistant asks a few simple questions:

  • What you have done so far, including service, volunteering, temporary jobs and studies

  • What kind of work interests you, or what you would rather avoid

  • Where you want to work and how far you can travel

Based on your answers, it starts suggesting jobs. You can answer in your own words, in any language.

What counts as experience

More than you might think:

  • Military or national service, including your role and responsibilities

  • Volunteering, youth movements and community work

  • Odd jobs: babysitting, waitressing, deliveries, shop work, seasonal work

  • Courses, certificates and a driver's licence

  • Languages you speak

If you are not sure something is worth mentioning, mention it. The assistant will help decide what to include.

Build a résumé in the same chat

When you are ready, tell the assistant "Let's build my résumé", or choose Add next to the message box and then the résumé option. The assistant asks one question at a time, and each answer appears on the résumé next to the chat. You can skip any question, edit any line yourself, choose a design and download a PDF from the ··· menu.

Tips

  • Short answers are fine. You can add details later.

  • You don't need numbers or big achievements. Your duties are enough.

  • A photo is not needed. See Résumé Photos and Privacy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I get matches without a résumé?

Yes. Matches are based on what you tell the assistant about your background, the direction you want and where you want to work. A résumé adds detail, so matches get more precise.

Can I skip the questions?

Yes, with Skip for now. Without these details, matches will be less precise. You can tell the assistant about yourself at any time.

Does it cost anything?

No. Building a résumé and searching for jobs are free.
