Nelnet is hiring a Full-Stack Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications and AI-centric applications using technologies such as Tailwind, ShadCN, TypeScript, NextJS, Python, FastAPI, and Rust. The role includes backend development, API and service engineering, performance optimization, CI/CD, AWS infrastructure, Terraform, EKS, code quality, collaboration, and mentorship. It requires a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, at least three years of full-stack development experience, and US citizenship with the ability to obtain a 6C Federal security clearance. The position offers a hybrid 3/2 schedule for associates within 30 miles of an office and a starting salary of $90,000 to $130,000 annually.
