The City of Carpinteria is hiring a Human Resources Manager to plan, organize, manage, and administer comprehensive human resources and risk management programs under the Assistant City Manager. The role advises management and employees on personnel, labor relations, recruitment, benefits, compliance, investigations, training, workforce planning, and risk matters; supervises assigned staff; and coordinates with legal counsel, labor representatives, insurance authorities, and other agencies. The position requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent education, four years of increasingly responsible human resources experience, supervisory or lead experience, and knowledge of public-sector employment and risk management practices.
