Description

Salesforce is hiring a Lead Software Engineer – Platform Services to provide hands-on technical leadership for scalable, secure, resilient cloud-native platform services and large-scale distributed systems. The role partners with engineering, product, architecture, and platform teams to design APIs, technical roadmaps, observability, DevOps, and AI-assisted engineering workflows, while mentoring engineers and improving engineering standards. Candidates need at least 8 years of professional software development experience, a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related technical subject, and experience with microservices, distributed systems, cloud platforms, APIs, security, testing, and identity technologies.

Additional Information

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related technical subject area, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Previous Experiences: 8+ years of professional software development experience designing, building, scaling, and maintaining large-scale production services
Experience with microservices architecture, domain-driven design, and RESTful and GraphQL APIs
Experience with AWS components, NoSQL databases, and data streams
Experience developing backend software with JavaScript or TypeScript and Node.js
Experience with web security, JWT lifecycle management, CORS, CSP, and XSS prevention
Experience using AI coding assistants to accelerate the software development lifecycle
Experience with test-driven development and testing frameworks such as Jest and Playwright
