FreeWheel is hiring a Software Engineer to build software, automation, analytics, and cloud-optimization solutions that connect engineering performance with financial outcomes. The role partners with Engineering, Finance, Product, Architecture, Data, Platform, and SRE teams to improve cost visibility, infrastructure efficiency, developer productivity, operational reliability, and technology investment returns. Responsibilities include cloud cost analysis, AI- and analytics-enabled automation, infrastructure-as-code, observability, data pipelines, dashboards, capacity planning, and financial reporting. The role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, typically 3+ years of software engineering experience, cloud and data platform expertise, and the ability to work nights and weekends.
