Description
OpenAI is hiring a Scaled Abuse Software Engineer to design and build backend and data systems for fraud detection, remediation, real-time investigation workflows, and enforcement. The role partners with finance, security, product, research, and trust and safety operations to detect and respond to fraudulent and abusive behavior at scale, using GPT-5 and future models. Candidates should have at least five years of backend and data systems software engineering experience, at least two years of fraud or abuse analysis, investigation, or operations experience, and strong ability to learn and improve unfamiliar codebases. The technology stack includes Terraform, Kubernetes, Azure, Python, Postgres, and Kafka.
