General Motors is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to lead and scale engineering platforms for embedded software in software-defined vehicles. The role is primarily remote, with possible three-times-weekly reporting to a GM hub within a 50-mile radius, and involves leading software engineering productivity, architecture, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Terraform, security, observability, and progressive delivery across multiple teams. Candidates need a bachelor's degree in software engineering or equivalent experience, 10 years of software development experience, and expertise in real-time systems, safety-critical products, Kubernetes, Terraform, embedded or simulation workflows, and cloud architecture.
